CVE-2026-14677Network attack vector

Authenticated code execution via function-body allocation wraparound

Published Aug 13, 2026 · Updated Aug 13, 2026

Integer wraparound in 32-bit PostgreSQL builds before 18.6, 17.11, 16.15, 15.19, and 14.24 allows remote authenticated users to execute code. The pltcl and plperl components calculate storage for crafted function bodies with an overflowing integer, allocate too little memory, and then write beyond the allocation. The user must be able to create objects with an affected procedural language; successful exploitation runs code as the database server's operating-system account.
