CVE-2026-14671Network attack vector

Authenticated code execution via refint plan-cache reuse

Published Aug 13, 2026 · Updated Aug 13, 2026

Type confusion in PostgreSQL refint before 18.6, 17.11, 16.15, 15.19, and 14.24 allows remote authenticated users to execute code. The check_foreign_key() plan cache embeds new key values in cascade-update queries and incorrectly reuses the initially planned values. A superuser must have installed refint, after which object-creation permission permits code execution as the database operating-system account.
