Authenticated memory disclosure via ctid type confusion
Published Aug 13, 2026 · Updated Aug 13, 2026
Type confusion in PostgreSQL before 18.6, 17.11, 16.15, 15.19, and 14.24 allows remote authenticated users to derive server memory. The ctid selectivity estimator accepts chosen non-ctid input and interprets it as ctid data, producing a reduced-precision calculation from an arbitrary four-byte memory span. Permission to create temporary objects or objects in one schema is sufficient, and repeated queries can recover substantial memory contents.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
