Stored XSS via invalid upload MIME type
Published Jan 28, 2026 · Updated Jan 28, 2026
Stored cross-site scripting in Jirafeau file previews before 4.7.1 allows remote attackers to execute JavaScript when a user opens a file. The upload path accepts a manipulated MIME type such as image, and f.php serves the file inline without disabling browser MIME sniffing, so an SVG payload is interpreted as active content. Successful exploitation requires a user to open the preview, after which script runs in the Jirafeau origin and can read or alter application data available to that user.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
