Cart crash and stack-trace disclosure via cookie deserialization
Published Jul 4, 2026 · Updated Jul 4, 2026
Unsafe deserialization in Ecommerce-CodeIgniter-Bootstrap 13fd582aaf49aeab7438acc0fc3eb973a1f5e6a7 allows remote attackers to crash carts. ShoppingCart.php getCartItems passes the shopping_cart cookie directly to PHP unserialize(), then downstream code treats a supplied object as an array of product IDs. No account or user interaction is required; the verified result is an HTTP 500 with an uncaught exception and disclosed stack traces and filesystem paths.
