Authenticated file write and deletion via path traversal
Published Jul 4, 2026 · Updated Jul 4, 2026
Path traversal in Ecommerce-CodeIgniter-Bootstrap at commit 222ff31c allows remote authenticated users to write or delete server files. AddProduct.php concatenates the folder parameter into paths used by mkdir(), the upload handler, and unlink() without canonicalization or base-directory containment. The endpoints require vendor-area access and an AJAX header; successful requests can create directories, upload allowed image types, or delete writable files.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
