Administrator-context script execution via stored User-Agent
Published Jul 4, 2026 · Updated Jul 4, 2026
Stored XSS in Ecommerce-CodeIgniter-Bootstrap allows remote attackers to execute script in an administrator's browser via User-Agent. checkForPostRequests stores the HTTP_USER_AGENT value in subscribed.browser, and the administrative emails view inserts that field into HTML without encoding. Exploitation requires an exposed newsletter form and an administrator to open the subscribed-emails page, where the stored script runs with that session's privileges.
