Unauthenticated administrative actions via unchecked AJAX handlers
Published Jul 4, 2026 · Updated Jul 4, 2026
Missing authentication in Restaurant Website using PHP & MYSQL allows remote attackers to alter administrative data through AJAX handlers. The handlers in /admin/ajax_files process attacker-controlled POST operations without starting a session or validating administrator credentials, enabling menu deletion, order-state changes, category management, and image uploads. Any remotely reachable deployment at commit 521428b5b612449df0cf4a5d15ee40cba67f3d35 is exposed without credentials; the published proof of concept demonstrates data modification but not code execution.
