Unauthenticated code execution via pre-HMAC deserialization
Published Jul 30, 2026 · Updated Jul 30, 2026
PHP object injection in Remote API 0.2 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute code through an unauthenticated query parameter. Remote_API_Request::verify() base64-decodes the remote-api value and calls unserialize() before validating its HMAC and API key. Code execution requires the plugin to be active and another installed component to provide a suitable autoloaded PHP gadget chain.
