Unauthenticated stored XSS via unescaped acl_ctrl_addr
Published Jul 30, 2026 · Updated Jul 30, 2026
Stored XSS in WP Real IP-based Access Control through 1.3.1 allows remote attackers to run JavaScript in an administrator's browser. The plugin accepts the acl_ctrl_addr option without a capability or nonce check, stores it, and renders it unescaped on its settings page. An administrator must view that page, after which the injected script executes in the administrator's WordPress session and can read or alter data available there.
