Subscriber-level stored XSS via unchecked popup configuration
Published Sep 11, 2026 · Updated Sep 11, 2026
Stored cross-site scripting in Advanced Customized Prompts through 1.0.1 allows remote authenticated users to execute JavaScript in visitor browsers. The save handler writes popup fields to any referenced product without capability, ownership, or nonce checks, and output rendering inserts the stored values without escaping. Subscriber-level access is sufficient to persist script that runs for visitors viewing the affected product, exposing actions available to each visitor's browser session.
