CVE-2026-14544Network attack vector

Unauthenticated code execution via unchecked print-data multiplication

Published Jul 3, 2026 · Updated Jul 3, 2026

Integer overflow in HPLIP on RHEL 8, 9, and 10 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code through crafted print data. The hpcups path checks a different multiplication pair while leaving one print-file-controlled operand unchecked, making the earlier overflow fix incomplete. No authentication or user interaction is required, and successful exploitation can execute code or escalate privileges on a system that accepts the crafted print job.
