CVE-2026-14534Public exploit

Code execution via incomplete unsafe-import denylist

Published Jul 4, 2026 · Updated Jul 4, 2026

Incomplete input filtering in Trail of Bits Fickling 0.1.10 and earlier allows attackers to execute code through a crafted pickle file. The check_safety() path omits _posixsubprocess, site, and atexit from fickle.py's UNSAFE_IMPORTS denylist, returns LIKELY_SAFE, and lets fickling.load() pass the payload to pickle.loads(). Execution requires a victim process to load the attacker-supplied file and runs with that process's privileges, including arbitrary process spawning through _posixsubprocess.fork_exec.
