Subscriber-level code execution via stored callback override
Published Aug 16, 2026 · Updated Aug 16, 2026
Remote code execution in Query Wrangler for WordPress 1.5.57 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute PHP via crafted options. The wp_ajax_qw_form_ajax handler lacks capability and nonce checks, replaces saved query options with unsanitized input, and later sends the stored callback to call_user_func_array() after only function_exists() validation. Subscriber-level access and one existing query row are required; successful exploitation runs server-side PHP with the WordPress process privileges.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
