Unauthenticated SQL injection via unvalidated dates
Published Jul 1, 2026 · Updated Jul 1, 2026
SQL injection in MediaWiki Cargo before 3.9.1 allows remote attackers to alter database queries through Special:Drilldown date filters. Special:Drilldown accepts malformed lower and upper date values and incorporates them into SQL query construction without validating their date syntax. No account or user interaction is required; query effects remain limited to data and operations permitted to the configured database user.
