CVE-2026-14356Network attack vector

Administrator account takeover via unchecked REST user update

Published Jul 30, 2026 · Updated Jul 30, 2026

Authorization bypass in FleekDash V2 2.6.2.2 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to take over any WordPress account. The /users/{id} REST handler accepts an arbitrary user ID and writes attacker-supplied email and password values without verifying authority over that account. Subscriber access suffices, and the public register endpoint creates that account and returns a REST nonce even when WordPress registration is disabled.
