Stored XSS via unescaped registration-form shortcode attributes
Published Jul 9, 2026 · Updated Jul 9, 2026
Stored XSS in W3 Eden, Inc. WordPress Download Manager 3.3.61 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute browser scripts. The wpdm_reg_form shortcode's registration-form view emits note_before and note_after attribute values without sufficient output escaping. Contributor-level access is required, and a viewer must render the stored shortcode; save-time filtering limits payloads to markup that survives wp_kses_post.
