Subscriber-to-Administrator escalation via exposed connection secrets
Published Jul 28, 2026 · Updated Jul 28, 2026
Privilege escalation in Eazy Plugin Manager 4.4.1 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to obtain Administrator sessions. The pos_get_option AJAX handler accepts a nonce available to every logged-in user and returns arbitrary options without a capability check; the public admin/login REST route then trusts a Whirlpool hash derived from connection values in those options. Subscriber access is sufficient, but the remote connection feature must already be configured with valid connection values.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
