Stored XSS via unescaped checkout label
Published Jul 30, 2026 · Updated Jul 30, 2026
Stored XSS in GiveWP before 4.16.3 allows remote authenticated users to run scripts in visitors' browsers through a donation form. The legacy template inserts the checkout_label setting into submit-input attributes without escaping, so injected markup becomes executable. GiveWP Worker access and an option-based form are required; any visitor loading the public form executes the stored script in the site origin.
