Subscriber-to-Administrator escalation via signed claim injection
Published Jul 11, 2026 · Updated Jul 11, 2026
Authentication bypass in Simple JWT Login 3.6.6 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to obtain Administrator sessions. AuthenticateService::generatePayload() retains attacker-supplied email, id, or username claims not listed in jwt_payload and signs them into a JWT. Subscriber access and enabled authentication and autologin endpoints permit redemption of the injected identity as an Administrator session.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
