Process crash via unbounded brace expansion length

Denial of service in Julian Gruber brace-expansion 5.0.7 and earlier allows attackers to crash a Node.js process via crafted brace groups. The expand() function caps the result count but not total string length, retaining progressively larger results and intermediate arrays until memory is exhausted. Reachability requires an application to pass attacker-influenced input directly to expand() or transitively through minimatch or glob.
