Unauthenticated checkout redirect via unchecked return URL
Published Jul 27, 2026 · Updated Jul 27, 2026
Open redirect in Contact Form 7 before 2.5 allows remote attackers to redirect checkout users to an external site via a crafted link. The Stripe redirect handler accepts cf7pp_return after URL syntax validation but no same-origin or host check, then assigns it to success_url and cancel_url. No authentication is required, but Stripe must be configured on a form and a victim must complete or cancel checkout before reaching the attacker-controlled page.
