Contributor-level shortcode execution via partial allowlist check
Published Aug 6, 2026 · Updated Aug 6, 2026
Improper input validation in Easy Appointments before 3.12.28 allows remote authenticated users to execute registered shortcodes. A block-rendering action tests only the first tag of attacker-supplied shortcode text against its allowlist, then renders the complete string. Contributor-level access is required, and the resulting confidentiality impact depends on other shortcodes registered on the WordPress site.
