Contributor appointment disclosure and modification via missing authorization
Published Jul 30, 2026 · Updated Jul 30, 2026
Missing authorization in the Easy Appointments plugin through 4.0 allows remote authenticated users to read and alter customer appointments. The ea_appointments and ea_appointment AJAX actions accept a REST nonce available to contributors but perform no capability check before listing or mutating records. The edit_posts registration gate blocks subscribers, while contributor-level access exposes customer PII and permits booking creation, modification, and permanent deletion.
