Employee account takeover via unchecked provider ownership
Published Aug 26, 2026 · Updated Aug 26, 2026
Authorization bypass in Amelia Pro 9.0 through 9.7 allows remote authenticated users to take over employee accounts. The Employee Panel provider-update operation accepts a target provider identifier and writes a new cabinet password without verifying account ownership by the authenticated employee. An Employee Panel login permits replacement of a different employee password, causing loss of victim access and attacker control of the account.
