Cross-user lesson data access via unchecked user IDs
Published Jul 21, 2026 · Updated Jul 21, 2026
IDOR in Kodezen LLC Academy LMS before 3.8.1 allows remote authenticated users to read or alter other users' lesson data. Several lesson AJAX handlers accept a caller-supplied user_id without checking that it belongs to the logged-in account, so requests can target another subscriber's notes and completion state. Subscriber access and a valid Academy nonce are required; impact is limited to reading or overwriting lesson notes and changing lesson completion records.
