Sensitive-variable disclosure via snapshot JSON
Published Aug 20, 2026 · Updated Aug 20, 2026
Information disclosure in Octopus Server before 2026.1.11587 and 2026.2.13190 lets remote authenticated users read sensitive variables in clear text. The exposure occurs in deployment variable snapshot JSON, where affected builds can print or serialize sensitive variable values without masking them; Octopus Deploy has not published the exact code path or trigger conditions. Reachability requires authenticated access to whatever workflow can read the snapshot, and the published impact is limited to confidentiality because the vendor and CNA record describe no integrity or availability effect.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=2026.2.61 <2026.2.13190
- Affected versionversion=3.2.6 <2026.1.11587
