Out-of-bounds memory access via missing Atomics revalidation
Published Jun 30, 2026 · Updated Jun 30, 2026
TOCTOU in Escargot commit bab3a5797557014ce3c2e28419a6310cfba90d0d allows local users to access memory out of bounds through Atomics operations. Atomics methods validate typed-array access before coercing an attacker-controlled value, whose user code can detach or resize the backing ArrayBuffer before the unchecked access. Exploitation requires attacker-controlled JavaScript in an embedding that exposes Atomics, with read, write, and service-interruption effects bounded by the host process.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
