CVE-2026-1408Public exploit

Administrative access via unchanged UART default credentials

Published Jan 25, 2026 · Updated Jan 25, 2026

Authentication bypass in Beetel 777VR1 firmware 01.00.09 and 01.00.09_55 allows physically proximate attackers to gain administrative access. The UART diagnostic interface accepts vendor-supplied admin/password credentials that remain valid in production and does not require an initial change. Physical access to the UART pins and affected firmware are required; successful login exposes a privileged diagnostic shell and system-level commands.
