Open redirect via untrusted Host header
Published Jan 25, 2026 · Updated Jan 25, 2026
Open redirect in BootDo allows remote attackers to redirect login requests to an arbitrary host via a crafted Host header. AccessControlFilter.redirectToLogin passes a request-derived authority to WebUtils.issueRedirect, causing the response location to trust the supplied Host value. Exploitation requires a protected URL and user interaction; the resulting redirect can send the user to an attacker-controlled site, but no direct data access or code execution is reported.
