Sandbox escape via improperly validated video input
Published Jun 30, 2026 · Updated Jun 30, 2026
Improper input validation in Google Chrome before 150.0.7871.47 allows remote attackers to escape its sandbox via a crafted video file. Google identifies Media as the affected component but has not disclosed the validation locus or the incorrect operation performed on video data. Exploitation requires prior compromise of a renderer process; successful use breaks browser isolation and exposes privileges held outside that renderer.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
