Settings modification via missing nonce validation
Published Jan 28, 2026 · Updated Jan 28, 2026
Cross-site request forgery in Hu Chao imwptip 1.1 and earlier allows remote attackers to alter plugin settings through a forged request. The settings-update path in classes/imwptipadmin.php accepts state-changing form input without validating a WordPress nonce before saving it. Exploitation requires an administrator with an active session to visit an attacker-controlled page or link; the bounded result is unauthorized settings modification.
