Unintended SQL execution via malformed SQL quoting
Published Jun 29, 2026 · Updated Jun 29, 2026
SQL injection in Snowflake CLI 1.2.2 through 3.18.0 allows remote attackers to execute SQL through crafted project content. SPCS service commands place YAML specification text in dollar-quoted SQL without neutralizing a terminating $$ sequence, while FQN.sql_identifier and SHOW LIKE paths fail to escape single quotes correctly. Exploitation requires a victim to process attacker-controlled content, and database actions remain bounded by the Snowflake session's privileges.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
