Malicious firmware installation via improper signature verification
Published Jul 2, 2026 · Updated Jul 2, 2026
Improper signature verification in CubeSpace CW0057 Reaction Wheel before 5.0.20 allows physically proximate attackers to install malicious firmware. The device's firmware upload path accepts an attacker-supplied image without successfully verifying its cryptographic signature. Physical access is required, but authentication is not; installed firmware can control device behavior and interrupt reaction-wheel operation.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
