Contributor-level stored XSS via no_data_msg escape decoding
Published Jul 1, 2026 · Updated Jul 1, 2026
Stored XSS in W3 Eden WordPress Download Manager 3.3.60 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts via no_data_msg. The wpdm_all_packages view echoes the no_data_msg shortcode value without output escaping after C-style escapes survive save-time filtering. Contributor-level access is required to store the value; it executes in a visitor's browser when the shortcode renders an empty result set.
