Reflected XSS via unescaped shortcode content
Published Jul 27, 2026 · Updated Jul 27, 2026
Reflected XSS in Themeisle MPG before 4.1.8 allows remote attackers to run script in a victim's browser via a crafted request. The mpg_shortcode AJAX action returns the unescaped content parameter in a text/html response after accepting an anonymously obtainable nonce. An MPG project must be deployed, and a victim must be induced to submit the crafted request; the script then runs in the site's origin.
