Authenticated code execution via unchecked upload paths
Published Aug 11, 2026 · Updated Aug 11, 2026
Path traversal in Crafty Controller 4.4.0 through 4.10.7 allows remote authenticated users to write files and execute code. The upload handler joins attacker-controlled fileName, fileId, and chunkId values into destination and temporary paths without resolving them or enforcing directory containment. An account with SERVER_CREATION or per-server FILES permission can escape the upload sandbox and run template code as the Crafty service account.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
