Unauthenticated order tampering via late signature check
Published Jul 29, 2026 · Updated Jul 29, 2026
Missing authorization in PayU CommercePro Plugin 3.8.9 and earlier allows remote attackers to modify arbitrary WooCommerce orders. The /wp-json/payu/v1/get-payment-success-update webhook persists attacker-supplied discounts, shipping data, and metadata before checking the payment signature. No authentication, valid gateway configuration, or valid signature is required; an existing order ID is enough to reduce its total and overwrite payment metadata.
