Account takeover via cross-feature signature reuse
Published Jul 1, 2026 · Updated Jul 1, 2026
Improper input validation in pretix and seven payment plugins allows remote authenticated users to take over any backend session. Payment session transports accept any correctly signed session parameters, while a redirect feature uses the same key and salt to sign attacker-chosen content. Access to one backend event permits arbitrary session writes and impersonation of a guessed user ID, exposing that user's data and privileges.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
