Authenticated SQL injection via unsanitized password input
Published Jun 29, 2026 · Updated Jun 29, 2026
SQL injection in patientchangepassword.php in Hospital Management System in PHP 1.0 allows remote authenticated users to alter SQL queries. The handler passes the newpassword POST value into a MySQL query without adequate validation or sanitization, allowing a quote-delimited time-based SLEEP payload to change query execution. A valid patient session is required; the demonstrated consequence is a database timing oracle, while broader data access or modification was not demonstrated.
