Unauthenticated SSRF via unrestricted Pass Thru image URL
Published Feb 12, 2026 · Updated Feb 12, 2026
SSRF in Mateusz Gbiorczyk Converter for Media 6.5.1 and earlier allows remote attackers to access internal services via crafted image URLs. PassthruLoader::load_image_source passes the attacker-controlled src URL to cURL without restricting the destination to trusted site URLs. The Pass Thru loading mode must be reachable, after which requests originate from the WordPress server and can query or modify internal-service data.
