Authenticated code execution via unchecked sprintf
Published Jun 29, 2026 · Updated Jun 29, 2026
Stack-based buffer overflow in Tenda JD12L 16.03.53.23 allows remote authenticated users to execute code via a crafted page parameter. The fromNatStaticSetting function passes that value to sprintf, which writes it into a fixed 256-byte stack buffer without a length check. The CNA assessment requires low privileges, while the referenced PoC states that no authentication is needed; the PoC demonstrates only the overflow trigger.
