Secret salt disclosure via unlabeled hashing oracle
Published Jun 30, 2026 · Updated Jun 30, 2026
Information disclosure in DALIBO PostgreSQL Anonymizer before 3.1.2 allows remote authenticated users to recover the secret salt. The SECURITY DEFINER anon.hash() function reads anon.salt but lacks the RESTRICTED security label, so masked roles can use it as a hashing oracle. A masked database role and a configured secret salt are required; collected input-output pairs support offline salt recovery and deanonymization.
