Subscriber-level plugin deactivation via pl-plugin-deactivation action
Published Jul 20, 2026 · Updated Jul 20, 2026
Missing authorization in Codexpert ThumbPress before 6.2.2 allows remote authenticated users to deactivate the plugin through AJAX. The pl-plugin-deactivation action accepts a logged-in request without a nonce or capability check and marks ThumbPress inactive. Subscriber-level access is sufficient to interrupt image and thumbnail management without reading stored content.
