Unauthenticated stored XSS via array-valued form fields
Published Jul 29, 2026 · Updated Jul 29, 2026
Stored cross-site scripting in Code4Life Database for CF7 1.2.6 and earlier allows remote attackers to inject scripts via array-valued form fields. The public Contact Form 7 REST endpoint accepts arrays for ordinary text fields, which the plugin serializes into wp_cf7db without sufficient sanitization and later renders without output escaping. No account is required, and the stored script executes in the browser of a user who views the submitted data.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
