Stored XSS via unescaped megamenu settings
Published Jul 31, 2026 · Updated Jul 31, 2026
Stored XSS in ElementsKit Elementor Addons before 3.10.01 allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts through megamenu settings. The megamenu REST save handler accepts menu badge settings without requiring unfiltered_html, and the front-end renderer emits the stored badge text without sanitization or escaping. Exploitation requires WordPress multisite, a non-super subsite Administrator, Elementor, an enabled megamenu, and a rendered nav-menu widget; the payload then runs for visitors and the network Super Admin.
