Delimiter neutralization in OpenVPN Inc. OpenVPN 2.7_alpha1 through 2.7.4 allows remote attackers to corrupt Windows DNS state or crash the service. During disconnection, the interactive service combines crafted --dns search-domain entries with existing local DNS configuration and restores the SearchList state incorrectly. Exploitation requires a crafted search domain to reach a Windows client and the vulnerable disconnect path; the bounded effects are persistent DNS pollution or a service crash.
