Improper access control in IBM Informix Dynamic Server 14.10 and 15.0 allows local users to gain root privileges through oninit. The oninit executable runs setuid root, but IBM has not disclosed the missing or incorrect authorization operation that enables escalation. Exploitation requires a local authorized low-privileged account and grants root privileges on the host.
