Author-level executable upload via global MIME allowlist
Published Jul 17, 2026 · Updated Jul 17, 2026
Unrestricted file upload in Proper Fraction ProfilePress 4.16.18 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to upload executable files. The allowed_mime_types function unconditionally registers an upload_mimes filter that adds .exe, .apk, and .msi site-wide instead of limiting them to digital-product uploads. Author-level access is required, and code execution depends on the host treating an added extension as executable.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
