Stored script execution via improper wiki sanitization
Published Jul 8, 2026 · Updated Jul 8, 2026
Stored XSS in GitLab CE/EE 15.7 before 18.11.7, 19.0 before 19.0.4, and 19.1 before 19.1.2 allows remote authenticated users to run browser scripts. The wiki markup renderer places user-supplied input into generated HTML without adequate sanitization; GitLab has not identified the affected field or function. Exploitation requires high privileges and a victim to view the rendered content, enabling access to data and actions available in that browser session.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=15.7 <18.11.7
